Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our private transfer will take you to your hotel in Arusha. Settle into your accommodation. Meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing and gear check. Relax and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2 – Arusha to Rongai Gate (1950m) to Simba Camp (2625m)
Drive to the Rongai Gate, passing through remote villages and farmlands. After completing park formalities, begin your trek through lush forest trails teeming with wildlife. Arrive at Simba Camp, your first stop on the mountain.
Day 3 -Simba Camp to Second Cave (3450m)
Wake up to the crisp mountain air and continue trekking through moorland. Today’s journey offers stunning views of Kibo and the Eastern Ice Fields. Reach Second Cave, where you will camp for the night.
Day 4- Second Cave to Kikelewa Camp (3600m)
Ascend through grassy slopes as the landscape becomes more rugged. Stop for lunch and marvel at the breathtaking views before reaching Kikelewa Camp. Spend the evening enjoying the serenity of the mountain.
Day 5 -Kikelewa Camp to Mawenzi Tarn (4315m)
A challenging but rewarding day awaits as you climb towards the jagged Mawenzi Peak. Set up camp near Mawenzi Tarn, a tranquil alpine lake nestled at the foot of the peak
Day 6 –Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut (4700m)
Traverse the lunar-like Saddle, a barren yet striking landscape between Mawenzi and Kibo Peaks. Arrive at Kibo Hut and rest early to prepare for your summit attempt.
Day 7 – Summit Day! Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5895m) to Horombo Hut (3700m)
Begin your summit push around midnight. Trek under the starlit sky to Gilman’s Point, then continue to Uhuru Peak, the roof of Africa! After celebrating your achievement, descend to Horombo Hut for well-earned rest.
Day 8-Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate (1860m)
Descend through the rainforest to Marangu Gate, where you’ll receive your summit certificate. Transfer back to Arusha and relax at your hotel.
Day 9 – Departure
Bid farewell to Tanzania as you are transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. Leave with unforgettable memories and a sense of accomplishment.
