Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha
Arrival in Arusha. Private transfer from Kilimanjaro International Airport to your accommodation. Relax and attend a pre-trek briefing.
Day 2 – Trek to MtiMkubwa Camp
Drive from Arusha to Londorossi Gate (about 4 hours). Begin the trek through lush rainforest to MtiMkubwa Camp (Big Tree Camp). Spot monkeys and exotic birds along the way.
Day 3 – MtiMkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp
Trek from MtiMkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp. Pass through Montane forest and into the moorland zone, with stunning views of the Shira Plateau.
Day 4 – Shira Plateau to Shira 2 Camp
Hike across the Shira Plateau to Shira 2 Camp. Enjoy panoramic vistas of Kibo Peak and the surrounding valleys. Spend the afternoon acclimatizing and exploring the area.
Day 5 – Acclimatization
Trek to Lava Tower (4,600m) for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp. Experience the dramatic change in landscapes and witness the towering Barranco Wall.
Day 6 – Barranco Wall Climb
Climb the Barranco Wall, a challenging but rewarding section of the route. Continue trekking through the Karanga Valley to reach Karanga Camp.
Day 7 – Trek to Barafu Camp
Short trek to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit push. Rest and prepare for the midnight ascent. Take in the stark beauty of the high-altitude desert.
Day 8 – Summit Day
Summit day! Begin the ascent to Uhuru Peak under a starlit sky. Reach Stella Point at dawn and continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. Descend to Mweka Camp for well-earned rest.
Day 9 – Descend
Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate. Receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Arusha for relaxation and celebration.
Day 10 – Departure
Departure. Enjoy a leisurely morning in Arusha before your private transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport. Leave with lasting memories of your Kilimanjaro adventure.
